INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the ultimate solar panel and battery sizing
program for Windows. Given your load and location
characteristics, it will provide sizing information.
It includes winter peak sun hours and minimum winter
temperatures at major US cities. You have the option
to manually enter this data if you wish or load alternate
city data files.
There are report print functions as well as data save
and recall functionality. A full help function with
design hints is included.
THE FILES
The following files are supplied with this program:
SOLAR.EXE The Main executable file
VBRUN200.DLL The Visual Basic data linker for
Windows
SOLARHR.LDF Data for calculation of location
peak sun hours
MAJORUS.CDF City temperature and location
data
SOLAR.INI User Configuration file
USERDOC.TXT The user instruction book
README.TXT This file
WHATS.NEW Describes new features of V1.1
INSTALLATION
Copy all the files except VBRUN200.DLL to the directory
of your choice. Copy VBRUN200.DLL to the Windows\System directory.
Place the program in your choice of program groups as you would any
windows application in the Program Manager.
RUNNING
This program is a full windows application, hence it will behave
just like any other windows application. Use the mouse or Tab
key to move around, Enter Key or mouse button to select from
lists or push buttons.
DOCUMENTATION
The user documentation (USERDOC.TXT) is a standard text file. Use
any text editor to read or print. You can print it out with
the DOS command PRINT /D:PRN USERDOC.TXT. You can also use
the Windows NotePad program. The File is formatted for 60 lines
per page.
Don't forget to register. A registration form is at the end of
UserDoc.Txt
